An Agreement Between Nations To Support And Defend Each Other

In the century, scientists and policymakers have discussed whether alliances need an enemy to stick together. For example, some policymakers have argued that the demise of the Soviet Union does not justify NATO`s sustainability. On the other hand, others argued that the organisation could and should evolve to play a greater role in resolving conflicts in Europe`s turbulent periphery, particularly in the Balkans. The latter opinion was finally imposed when NATO made its first military use of force in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1995 and against Serbia in 1999. From the same period, NATO membership was extended to most of the former Soviet satellites or their successor states and the new independent Baltic republics. At the same time, several high-level crises have underscored the alliance`s traditional approach. For example, after the terrorist attacks in the United States against the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, the government of the American president. George W. Bush formed a diverse coalition of a large number of old (e.g.B. Britain) and new partners (e.g. .B. Uzbekistan) to fight international terrorism. a series of international agreements describing how human beings should be treated when they are prisoners of war, a country that concludes an agreement with another country, that they will work together to help each other, especially in a war, bilateral agreement or bilateral activity that involves a formal agreement between governments of different countries on this subject; the manner in which it is understood among themselves or vis-à-vis the inhabitants of their country, unless a treaty contains provisions relating to other agreements or measures, only the text of the treaty is legally binding.
